So I read in the paper today that, based on data released by the U.S. Census, 49 percent of American businesses are run from home and more than 60 percent of owners use their own money to start a business. Further, 28% were started with no capital and almost 10% were started with credit cards. (Start your own business with a credit card from here!) Interestingly enough, about 75% of those small businesses operate with no paid employees. Sounds like my ideal business! Run from home, no employees, and wholly owned. What could be better?
